Bonnie Parker
'Bonnie and Clyde' is Nia's first show with UMMTS! Nia is 21 years old, a fourth year student at UoM studying Spanish and Portuguese. Nia has been performing since she was young and performed in shows such as 'Les Mis', 'Into The Woods' and 'Chicago'.
Ben McCamley
Clyde Barrow
Ben is overjoyed to be performing with UMMTS for the first time! Ben is first year studying Music and Drama. He has performed in many amateur productions including ‘Little Shop of Horrors’, ‘Footloose’ and ‘Sister Act’. Ben had to learn how to play the ukelele for this production and has found that it is his new passion in life (not)!
Jacob Butcher
Buck Barrow
Jacob’s theatre credits include a dazzling performance as wise man #2 in a nativity production as well as an uncanny portrayal of a tree in 'Rebecca'. Tonight, watch as he steps into the slightly less virtuous shoes of Buck Barrow. He is so excited for his first UMMTS production!
Katie Sutton
Blanche Barrow
Before university, Katie took part in a few local productions, including ‘Chicago’, ‘Oliver’ and ‘Rock of Ages’, and also performed in NYMT’s ‘Billy the Kid’ in 2021. Since coming to Manchester, Katie has performed in ‘Telephone’, as part of the UMDS ‘Autumn Fringe’. On the jazzier side, ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ is her first UMTS show, and she feels incredibly lucky to be working with such a talented and lovely group of people. She’s a bit mad she doesn’t get to use a gun, but she’ll get over it soon.
Myles Tew
Ted Hinton
Myles is so excited to be making his UMMTS debut in this production of 'Bonnie and Clyde'. Myles is a placement student from the University of Leeds working for Transport for Greater Manchester. In his spare time he loves to embrace his inner performer and has had multiple appearances on screen and on stage, most recently in 'Grease'.
El Butcher
Emma Parker
El has often played saucier roles as Wanda in 'Cry Baby' or an unconventionally raunchy Phoebe in a 90s retelling of 'As You Like It'. In 'Bonnie & Clyde' she’ll be making her debut performance as a mama, but this mama definitely doesn’t lack sauce.
Daniel Garvin
Preacher
Daniel is a 2nd year music student, and is delighted to be returning for another UMMTS production. Last year, he had his first acting experience through UMMTS playing Georg in 'Spring Awakening', followed by Bernstein in 'Dogfight' and Beadle Bamford in 'Sweeney Todd'. Daniel strongly refutes the allegations of having a cast type.
Rachel Burnett
Young Bonnie/Ensemble
Rachel is a 2nd year music student, and is really excited to be apart of the cast in this UMMTS production! She has previously been a part of the creative team of 'Sweeney Todd' as Musical Director, as well as be a part of 'Cabaret' and 'Legally Blonde' in the pit band.
Eve Klein
Young Clyde/Ensemble
Eve is a 2nd year music student and is thrilled to be involved in her first (and definitely not last!) UMMTS show. She has performed in productions of 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' and as the lead in 'Matilda'. She has also directed a production of 'Mamma Mia' and has musically directed 'High School Musical'. Contrary to popular belief, Eve is in fact not a 10 year old boy.
Will Knight
Sheriff Schmid/Ensemble
Aside from school productions, 'Bonnie and Clyde' is Will’s first musical, making the show a new and exciting opportunity. Despite this, he has sung in a range of choral and classical settings as well as playing the trumpet in a range of ensembles.
Noah Wessel
Hamer/Ensemble
Noah is a second year physics student who loves playing piano and cooking. He is thrilled to be in 'Bonnie and Clyde', which will be his third show with UMMTS after performing in 'Spring Awakening' and 'Songs for a New World'.
Josselin Ball
Cumie Barrow/Ensemble
Josselin is incredibly excited to be a part of 'Bonnie and Clyde', her fourth show with UMMTS. Joss has been a part of musicals such as 'Chicago', 'Hairspray' and more. Previously, She has received acting training at the Nottingham Actor’s Studio and is studying drama at UoM.
Louis Rost
Henry Barrow/Bud/Ensemble
Louis is a third year at the RNCM, who loves being apart of UMMTS and has been involved with previous productions as a creative team member ('Sweeney Todd' and 'Songs for a New World') and as a performer in 'Dogfight'. Outside of UMMTS, he recently played Jack in 'Into the Woods' at the RNCM, and has worked as an Audition pianist/accompanist and session keyboard player on Pop gigs across Manchester.
Lizzy Rackstraw
Trish/Ensemble
Lizzy is a second year English and Drama student. Although her main passion is being a Claudia Winkleman lookalike, she thinks musical theatre is totally epic. She has enjoyed playing a god fearing woman in 'Bonnie and Clyde', as more recent acting roles have been fat old men with beards.
Lara Wantling
Stella/Ensemble
Lara is ecstatic as its her first musical with UMMTS! She is the Creative Project Facilitator for Drama Society this year, and she describes her dancing as Will from the Inbetweeners. Her signature dance move is the worm. Her greatest musical achievement is being Baloo in 'The Jungle Book' in Year 6.
Emma Flack
Eleanore/Ensemble
Emma is in her first year studying Classics at UoM and is so excited to be making her UMMTS debut in ‘Bonnie and Clyde’. Prior to UMMTS, Emma has been involved in local productions back home including ‘Guys and Dolls’ and ‘Grease’. Emma would like to thank the incredible cast and creative team for their love and support, as well as her flatmates for cooking dinner for her after every Sunday rehearsal!
